Mechanical/Electrical engineering design for Gym, Auditorium and main restrooms including new AHU’s and new fire sprinkler system.

Broward College, North Campus Exterior Walkway Lighting Upgrades 

Electrical engineering/design for removal of all existing light poles and light fixtures throughout Campus Walkways. Engineering/Design of approximately 99 -15’ high concrete poles with LED light fixtures as required to meet minimum 1 foot-candle in all walkways, electric power for all above new light fixtures, and photometric calculations of new layout.

Broward College, Central Campus Walkway Lighting Upgrades 

IElectrical engineering/design for removal of all existing light poles light fixtures throughout Campus Walkways. Florida International University, DM Building, University Park Campus Elevator Modernization.

Upgrading of 2 existing passenger elevators including air conditioning of elevator machine room, new electric power feed for elevators, new DX ac unit in elevator machine, new fire alarm devices and complete modernization of the elevators such as new power unit, controller, new door equipment, new fixtures and new cab. 

Design Completion Date: December 2007.

Florida International University, Wall of Wind Research Building, Engineering Center Campus M/E/P Systems for Wall of Wind Research equipment and building. 

Mechanical and Electrical engineering/design of very sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems for this new pre-fabricated Research building and all Wall of Wind Research equipment housed in it to be used for hurricane wind research purposes.

Design Completion Date: February 2008.

Florida International University, PC Building, University Park Campus New 750 KW Stand-by Electric Generator for Computer Room.

Electrical & Mechanical Engineering/Design for installation of 1 – new 750KW electric generator , new ATS, new electric panels, new electric service and major electrical power changes in order to provide stand-by electric power to existing 300 KVA UPS system, Computer Room Liebert a/c units and all Computer Room 504 power needs.

Design Completion Date: June 2007.

Florida International University, ACI, ACII, and HM Buildings, Biscayne Bay Campus Lab Hood and Air Handling Unit Replacement

Mechanical and Electrical engineering design as required to replace eight (8) existing lab hoods in ACII building with eight (8) new low flow type hoods, re-design of the exhaust air system for above hoods along with their new electrical installation, replacement of AHU’s #34, 35, 36, 37, 38 & 39 in this building, replacement of AHU’s #11, 16, 17 & 18 in ACI building and replacement of AHU #3 in HM building.

Florida International University, DM Building, University Park Campus AHU Replacement

Mechanical/Electrical Engineering design as required to replace all twelve (12) existing chilled water air handling units in this building with new ones.

Engineering and design of major upgrades to existing fire sprinkler system and new latest technology fire alarm system for this high rise building.

Florida International University, PC Building, University Park Campus Major Mechanical/Electrical upgrades in Computer Room (Room 504).

Design of New 100 ton Liebert a/c system, new FM 200 fire suppression system and associated electric power for existing computer room and design of 2-300KVA UPS system including a new room to house it and required air conditioning system and major electrical modifications.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools Ludlam Elementary School Deferred Maintenance Project

Performed Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering and design and managed/supervised Architectural and Structural engineer. Provided air conditioning for the entire kitchen, including the ancilliary rooms. Also provided exhaust for bathrooms, removed all the window mounted packaged a/c units in all the classrooms and replaced them with new floor mounted packaged a/c units (each to be located inside the classroom) in Buildings 2, 3 and 4. Designed electric power for new floor mounted packaged a/c units for classroom and roof mounted packaged unit in kitchen, bathroom exhaust fans and new light fixtures in restrooms. Also designed new electric panel board to power the new floor mounted a/c units in Building 3. Added emergency light fixtures, fire alarm notification appliances and smoke duct detectors in order to meet code.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools Ponce de Leon Middle School Deferred Maintenance Project

Performed Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering and design and managed/supervised Architectural and Structural engineer. Provided a new pressurized outside air intake ductwork system to supply o/a in classrooms in Buildings 2 and 4. Also provided new service sink in existing service room Building 2. New mini-split DX system was added to carry the entire room load in existing telecommunications room in Building 3. Provided air conditioning for the entire kitchen, (including ancillary rooms) and re-balanced the existing kitchen hood. Designed Electrical power for new mechanical equipment and a new panel board to feed new electric duct heaters for new outside air system. New fire alarm notification appliances were added throughout the school and interconnection of one fire alarm stand-alone system in Building 3 to Main Building fire alarm system in Building 1.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools Miami Coral Park Senior High School Deferred Maintenance Project

Performed Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering and design and managed/supervised Structural engineer to replace existing non-operational chiller plant (quantity = 2) and air handling units (quantity =26) pneumatic controls with new direct digital controls connected to new EMS control panels, replacement of five (5) existing fan coil units, repairs to twenty-six (26) existing air handling units, implement demand control ventilation for all twenty-six (26) air handling units, replacement of existing condenser water pump and cooling tower and upgrading of refrigerant monitor system and refrigerant exhaust system in chiller plant. Client Project

Miami-Dade County Public Schools Twin Lakes Elementary School Deferred Maintenance Project

Replacement of HVAC systems and Exterior windows in six (6) buildings, complete renovations of   two (2) group restrooms to meet ADA requirements, addition of missing lighted exit signs, playground remodeling and completely new HVAC system in Building 5 (Administration Building) including ductwork and exhaust fan. Three new electric panels, feeders and branch circuits were added as required to power new ac units and new exhaust fans for Group Restrooms.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools Carol City Elementary School – Deferred Maintenance Project 

Performed Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering and design and managed/supervised Architect and Structural engineer to replace twenty-nine  existing wall ac units in Buildings 03, 04, 05, 06, 07 and 09 with new floor mounted Bard ITEC ac units. Re-roofing work for Buildings 08, 12 and 13. Exterior painting of Buildings 12 and 13 and pressure clean others. Replaced  all ductwork in Buildings 10 and 11.Pressure cleaned/sealed coat/re-striped basketball court. Patched, re-sealed and striped parking lot area. Replaced 25 ton AHU in Building 10. Replaced  eight (8) refrigerated water coolers with new ADA high-low. Converted two (2) tiny toilet rooms on the North side of Building 11 into one (1) ADA toilet room.  Added  wall mounted ADA high-low refrigerated water cooler in playground area. Installed new security cameras/equipment/security alarm contacts/motion detectors throughout the school. Added four (4) electric panels, each rated at 225A M.C.B., 120/240V, 3Ø, 4W. New branch circuits were also provided for new Bard ac units. Provided new tamper proof power receptacles in K-Pod building. Provided new branch circuits for water coolers to meet ADA requirements. Furnished power to new AHU in Building 10 and provided provision for AHU shutdown and tied to existing Fire Alarm System.

University of Miami, Gables One Building, Coral Gables Campus Emergency/Stand-by Power System Upgrades

Engineer/design/specify new 1,500 kw emergency/stand-by power system to meet entire building power needs . Project consists of the following: New 1,500 Kw engine /generator set outdoors in a weather proof hurricane resistant factory built enclosure to be installed in existing garbage dumpster area, sound attenuators, 2 new Automatic Transfer Switches and new conduit from new generator to electrical equipment in basement. Structural modifications to allow installation of new generator module where the garbage dumpsters are now. This work consisted of the following: Demolition of existing sloped slab and its supporting beams and new concrete base to support and anchor the proposed new generator.

University of Miami, Memorial Classroom Building, Coral Gables Campus. New main electrical switchboard/New elevator. 

New electrical service, new larger capacity main electrical switchboard in a different location, new main feeders, new electric panels and new elevator for this existing building.

University of Miami, Memorial Building, Coral Gables Campus Phase II Remodeling

Completely new HVAC, electrical, fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems for remaining 33 classrooms in this building.

Old classrooms had no fire sprinklers, no fire alarm system, no raised seating and floor mounted fan coil units.

New classrooms were retrofitted with new ducted air conditioning system, new fire sprinklers, new fire alarm system and new pre-wired raised seating.
